Filed under: General, Latest News, News — Equitogs @ 10:59 am

KEP, uncontested leader in top of the range helmets, is at the cutting edge of technological innovation. Beneath their stunning exterior, unparalleled attention is paid to safety. Before a KEP hardhat goes into production, the Safety Department conducts whole series of tests; up to 15 different types of tests including frontal, side, rear impacts and rollovers – retention system and hardhat stability.

These unique hard hats are available to the equestrian rider available in 4 main styles with a multitude of  variations on each hat style. The hats are designed in two parts so the wearer has a precise and lasting fit. The outer shell provides ultimate protection and the interchangeable inner lining ensures a perfect fit. The linings can be changed or replaced without the need to purchase a new outer shell.

EXTERIOR SHELL

The frame of the hard hat is the perfect marriage of three interconnecting parts. providing great air circulation at the same time ensuring maximum safety and absolute protection. The visor is flexible to  avoid fractures in the event of a fall

INTERIOR SHELL

The inner shell in high-tech polystyrene has been created to combine the best ergonomics and aesthetics in order to ensure excellent fit. The double density foam provides ultimate shock absorption

ACS (Air Control System)

The front grille incorporates an air control system through the delicate moving of the central switch. The indirect ventilation is guaranteed by the entrance of fresh air through an intake placed under the peak and the front grille of the hardhat. Evacuation of the same air through the intakes placed on the rear padding

INNER LINING

The inner pad is removable and washable and can also be replaced or changed for a different size – replacement linings are sold separately. It is attached to an anatomic cushion that perfectly fits the nape ensuring optimum comfort and absolute air diffusion thanks to the high-tech materials used: coolmax coupled with open-cell filters and smooth micro-fibre

The hats feature a five point harness The chinstrap directly inserted in the hard riding hat through three passing rings made of anti-allergic and washable smooth leather. It is easily adjustable and has a quick self-blocking fastener

PERSONALISATION
KEP hats allow the rider to customize their helmet with a country flag or your riding club or team logo on front, back or front and back. Flags and logos are wirbrushed by hand and then coated with a special lacquer in order that the colours do not wear or fade.

Patent python trim is available on the front of selected CROMO T styles and Swarovski Crystals can be added to the grill on the front of all CROMO T styles.

Founded three years ago fuelled by the passion of its creator Leila Polini, KEP is going from strength to stregth. KEP helmets are manufactured in Italy and have been exported to over twenty countries around the world.

The Rambo® Micklem MultiBridle is the Most Comfortable, Flexible and Effective Bridle Ever Invented

Filed under: Latest News — Equitogs @ 10:56 am

The Rambo® Micklem MultiBridle is the first bridle that has been designed from the shape of the horses’ skull itself instead of just from the outside appearance of the head. Not only is it comfortable and humane but its versatility in its multi functions is invaluable. It comprises of three main pieces of equipment…A bridle, a lunge cavesson and a bitless bridle (with 3 alternatives).

Rambo_Micklem_Multibridle_Brown.jpg

The complete design of the common bridle has not been challenged in many years and the designer of the Rambo® Micklem MultiBridle, William Micklem, has highlighted inherent problems with the existing shape and style. Damage and discomfort is frequently caused from pressure to the facial nerves, the projecting cheek bones and upper jaw molar teeth. Therefore William Micklem recognized the need to design a bridle that prevents any damage to the facial nerves or sensitive tissues lining the cheeks and inside the mouth. However not only does the Rambo Micklem MultiBridle overcome these main areas of discomfort but also the inherent danger of lunging off a bridle and/or the discomfort caused from fitting a traditional lunge cavesson over a bridle. Additional benefits are for horses who resist due pain around the frequently damaged bars of the mouth or hate too much pressure on the tongue and as a result fight the contact or get their tongue over the bit and then finally the bridle is taken comfortably on a wide and padded headpiece rather than all the weight going on one narrow noseband strap.

The potential market for the Rambo® Micklem MultiBridle is almost endless. Its appeal would apply to the following…

  • Amateurs and Professionals alike who look for better and kinder options
  • Pleasure Riders and Parents which can save money by just buying one bridle
  • Young Riders and Novice Adults who need to led or lunged at times and their horses and ponies who so often suffer from a restricting rein contact
  • Young Horses & Ponies who need to be lunged and ridden
  • Event and Racing Yards where fast work often means tongues get squashed
  • Riding Schools and Training Centres who can now reduce costs and increase flexibility according to the needs of each rider
  • Long Distance and Hunting Riders who will love the improved comfort and flexibility

The Rambo® Micklem MulitBridle was also the recent winner of the BETA 2008 Innovation Awards where its logical and effective design was recognized as a revolutionary step for the way in which we bridle our horses.

Horse owners warned over wormer resistance

The growing threat of resistance problems with horse wormers is worrying vets. The British Veterinary Association (BVA) is asking vets to take “urgent and essential” action to stop parasites becoming resistant to wormers.
Owners are being asked to use faecal egg counts to ensure only horses that have a parasite are wormed, and that the most appropriate drug is used. Click Here to find out how to check your horses egg count.
